Corey Perry (RW - ANA) Contract Extension

The Anaheim Ducks would like to offer a 4 year, $7 Million (16-17) contract extension to franchise player Corey Perry.

Corey Perry is one of the top well rounded players in the League and deserves a contract extension. I am offering this contract because of the recent signing of Ryan Getzlaf, probably the most comparable guy of recent signings, same NHL team. He averages 3.84 ppg this season compared to Getzlaf 4.24. Also compareable to Semin, Nash, Couture, Carter, Kane, Bergeron, Parise - all recent signings. I believe this is fair market value for resigning a player who is destined to play his entire career for the Ducks Organization in the NHL as well as the REALGMHL.

Its hard to compare. RW are scarce in this league and Perry is among the best of them. I want to wait for other extensions to get a feel of things.

Getzlaf is the 2nd ranked player in fantasy points among Centers(4th Overall), only behind Crosby. Where Perry is the 7th ranked player among Right Wings(28 Overall) . RW isn't as scarce as it once was.
