Ah well this was a tough one to come up with as far as a cap number. Every guy close to him in FPPG has a very wide range salary wise. Guy's like Timonen make over 6M and someone like Ian White make less then 3M.
I feel Suter in real life will get big bucks, but his fantasy production doesn't quite match his real life value.
Ryan Suter - $5,000,000 for 4 years.
Others similar in production. (All players within .2 FPPG)
Wideman - $3,937,500 Timonen - $6,333,333 Lidstrom - $6,200,000 Boyle - $6,666,667 Byfulgien - $5,200,000 Green - $5,250,000 Girardi - $3,325,000 Bieksa - $4,600,000 Liles - $4,200,000 White - $2,875,000 Keith - $5,500,000 Kronwall - $3,500,000 (His new extension starting next year is just under the 5M a year mark)
Some highs and some lows in there, which is why I think a number like mine in the middle is sufficent.

i think this is more than reasonable for a guy like suter, who we really dont know if his value will keep rising or start dropping considering the question marks surrounding where hes going and when... approved 1-0

yeah given that Suter publicly announced he will test the free agent market, and is going to focus on this season that the salary is fair. I mean it is a steal for him right now, but he may end up on a team that likely lacks a Shea Weber quality D man. Weber could be an argument for Suter being as good as he is.

Sounds fair to me. Suter will have a hard choice to make this year. If the team can prove they are there to win, he should stay. Doesnt look good though. Could end up on a good team.

Good range of examples and safe to say he's pretty much in the middle.
